how to get perfect summer ready feet thumbBecause bunions develop slowly, taking care of your feet during childhood and early adulthood can pay off later in life. Keep track of the shape of your feet as they develop over time, especially if foot problems run in your family.

Exercising your feet can strengthen them. Learn to pick up small objects with your toes. Wear shoes that fit properly and that do not cramp or pinch your toes. Women should avoid shoes with high heels or pointed toes.

Bunions are commonly caused by a tight Achillies' tendon. Doing exercises rich in stretching and elongating the back of your leg can be the key to preventing a bunion, or at least slowing its progression.  Yoga can be a great place to start!

If you already have the early signs of a bunion, you can limit and/or prevent the progression of the buinion by wearing Custom Molded Orthotics.
