Paul T. Marciano, D.P.M., M.S.
Dr. Paul Marciano, D.P.M. is a graduate from the University of Rochester with a B.S. in Biology. He has a masters in Natural Science from Roswell Park Cancer Institute at the State University of Buffalo. He also graduated from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Ill. Dr. Marciano then completed a two year surgical residency in reconstructive foot surgery in Houston, Texas and has since been practicing in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. One of the first practitioners to utilize the Shock Wave Therapy Treatment for heel pain. Dr. Marciano is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in Foot Surgery, the American Board of Medical Specialists in Podiatry and the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry & Podiatric Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and serves as a member of both the American and Texas Podiatric Medical Associations. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and playing soccer, basketball and golf.
Gregory J. Amelung, D.P.M.
Dr. Greg Amelung, D.P.M. began his education at Texas A&M University and completed his Bachelor of Science and doctorate degree at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Ill. He completed a one year medical internship at North Chicago Veteran's Administration Hospital followed by a two year surgical residency with the Resurrection Health Care Hospital System in Chicago, Ill. Dr. Amelung completed his training with a one year fellowship at Central Oklahoma Foot and Ankle Centers associated with the Oklahoma Podiatric Residency Training Program, specializing in complicated reconstructive and traumatic surgery of the foot and ankle. Following his fellowship, he continued on as a surgical teaching attending at the residency program for two years. Looking for new opportunities, he joined Academy Foot and Ankle Specialists where he practices all aspects of foot and ankle care. Dr. Amelung believes that his extensive training will help provide many treatment options for all his patients. He believes that patient education and good communication is the key for successful care. Dr Amelung has been declared a Diplomate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons by becoming board certified in forefoot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery. He is married and a proud father of two boys. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family.
Scott Floyd, D.P.M.
Scott Floyd, DPM, is a board-qualified podiatrist and wound care specialist at Academy Foot & Ankle Specialists in the DFW metroplex, Texas. Dr. Floyd specializes in diabetic wound care and ulcer care. He has comprehensive training in all aspects of podiatry, including elective and non-elective foot surgery.After graduating from Houston Baptist University, in Houston, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science in biology, Dr. Floyd earned his medical degree at Kent State University College of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He later continued his training with a three-year medical and surgical residency with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Salem, Virginia. Since finishing his residency, Dr. Floyd has trained extensively in complex foot trauma, lower extremity sports medicine, and lower extremity diabetic surgical correction. In addition to his education and training, Dr. Floyd received advanced training and treated patients at the Foot and Ankle Clinic of the Virginias. He also worked in the orthopedic surgical department at the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia, where he focused on surgical and nonsurgical foot care. Dr. Floyd is extremely passionate about providing the best possible individualized care to his patients. When he is not working with patients, Dr. Floyd enjoys spending time with his family, frequently participating in church activities.
Philip Parr, DPM, MS
Philip Parr, DPM, MS is originally from Cherokee, Oklahoma. After graduating as valedictorian from Cherokee High School, he began his education at Oklahoma State University, obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. At Oklahoma State Dr. Parr developed a strong interest in sports medicine, working closely with the athletic training department and the team physicians for OSU Athletics. He was named a Top Ten Senior in his college at OSU and subsequently matriculated into Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa where he achieved his Masters of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. He then attended the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago where he acquired his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree, serving as class president during his time in Chicago. Dr. Parr then completed an intensive 3-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency with an added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah. During his time in residency, Dr. Parr also completed additional dermatopathology training at Bako Labs in Alpharetta, Georgia. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, following college football, as well as multiple outdoor hobbies.
Dorian Jimenez, D.P.M.
Dr. Dorian Jimenez is from the metro Atlanta area and began practicing with his father and sister in private practice in August of 2005. Dr. Jimenez has had the distinct opportunity to train with some of the most well-known and influential foot and ankle surgeons in the world. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga, he attended Podiatry school and attained his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Temple University in Philadelphia. He is a proud member of the Podiatry Institute, a non-profit organization committed to ongoing education in the area of foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Jimenez completed his residency in advanced reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at the prestigious Northlake Medical Center Foot & Ankle Surgical Residency in Tucker, Georgia and accomplished Chief Resident status. He has been involved in numerous continuing education forums as both instructor and participant. In addition, he enjoys participating in podiatric medical missions, having helped many children from Guatemala and El Salvador.
He is a highly skilled clinician and surgeon with extensive training for all foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Jimenez is Board Certified in Forefoot, Rearfoot and Reconstructive Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Dorian Jimenez is happily married with six wonderful children and is an avid soccer fan.
Jennifer Sofranec, PT
Jennifer graduated TWU in 1993 with a BS in Human Biology and a minor in Psychology. She completed her Masters Degree at the TWU school of Physical Therapy in 1995.
She has over 20 years experience in a wide range of settings including acute hospital care, wound care, long term rehab, home health and out patient. She has treated patients at every level of the rehab journey. And she approaches that treatment from a holistic, out of the box thinking mindset in order to help patients maximize their pain free functional potential. She will teach you how balance in your body can restore your function and decrease your pain. In her free time she enjoys time with her two active boys and Bikram yoga.
